Gwaenynog is a beautiful stone farmhouse in a quiet area, located between Lake Vyrnwy and Welshpool.
There's a large guest lounge with beams and an open inglenook fireplace, with a large TV with Freeview and DVD, where you can relax. Our grounds are pasture, woods or marshland, offering sanctuary to a multitude of wildlife, including many birds. With some wonderful weather, you can sit on the patio and take in the views...
Our rooms have: super king-size bed (or it splits into a twin), a standard double bed and a lovely 4 poster double bed (which is also our family room with 2 x 2’6” beds) - all with en-suites, and include flatscreen TV with Freeview and DVD, a selection of fairtrade beverages, luxurious showers and very comfortable beds. Each room is unique with its name taken from the local birdlife – Owl, Peregrine & Heron; all of which have been seen from the rooms. Take a closer look on the room pages, or click on the names.
We offer evening meals by arrangement - see our Food page for more info and example menus.
Alternatively we have selected a variety of restaurants and pubs which offer either good value or exceptional food, sometimes both!
We were delighted to be chosen as one of the Top 50 B&B's in the UK, by a panel of travel experts in The Independent newspaper. Click on the logo to see the others picked.
